In the year, the local general public budget revenue was RMB332.91 billion, up 7.9% over the previous year, of which tax revenue was RMB235.31 billion, up 1.8%. General public budget expenditure was RMB751.17 billion, an increase of 10.5%. 

At the end of the year, balances of RMB deposits of financial institutions totaled RMB5,918.48 billion, up 10.1% over that at the end of the previous year. Among them, the balances of household deposits were RMB2,857.59 billion, an increase of 10.8%. Balances of RMB loans amounted to RMB3,801.18 billion, an increase of 12.2%. Among them, the balances of household loans added up to RMB1,167.92 billion, an increase of 8.4%.

At the end of the year, there were 83 insurance companies. By the nature of their business, there were 37 property insurance companies, 41 life insurance companies, 3 old-age insurance companies and 2 health insurance companies. By the capital origin, there were 63 Chinese-invested ones and 20 foreign-invested ones. The original insurance premium incomes totaled RMB126.73 billion in the year, up 19.5% over the previous year. Among them, the original property insurance premium incomes amounted to RMB44.74 billion, an increase of 13.1%; the personal insurance premium incomes were RMB81.99 billion, an increase of 23.3%. The indemnities and payments all through the year reached RMB45.41 billion, up 21.4%. Among them, the property insurance indemnity expenditures were RMB23.45 billion, an increase of 13.6%; personal insurance claim payment reached RMB21.96 billion, an increase of 31.0%.

At the end of the year, there were 4 securities companies, 3 futures companies, 3 securities investment consulting companies, 27 securities company branches, 12 fund company branches and 317 securities and futures business departments. At the end of the year, there were 11.324 million securities investors' accounts, and the accumulated securities trading volume reached RMB17.4 trillion, an increase of 1.8 times over the previous year.
