4月11日下午，奥地利驻成都总领事馆开馆仪式在蓉举行。奥地利总统范德贝伦、奥地利总理库尔茨、奥地利欧洲移民融入和外交部长克奈斯尔、奥地利联邦商会主席莱特尔、四川省人民政府副省长朱鹤新出席了开馆仪式。期间，刘欣厅长与奥地利联邦商会主席共同为奥地利驻蓉总领事馆商务处揭牌。
On the afternoon of April 11, the Opening Ceremony of Austrian Consulate General Chengdu was held in Chengdu. Alexander van der Bellen, Austrian President, Kurz, Austrian Chancellor, Kneissl, Austrian Minister of Europe Integration Foreign Affairs, Leitl, President of Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, and Zhu Hexin, Vice Governor of the People’s Government of Sichuan Province attended the Opening Ceremony. At the ceremony, Liu Xin, Director of Sichuan Department of Commerce, and President of Austrian Federal Economic Chamber jointly unveiled the nameplate for ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Chengdu.

朱鹤新副省长在致辞中对奥地利驻成都总领事馆正式开馆表示衷心祝贺，对范德贝伦总统、库尔茨总理访川表示热烈欢迎。鹤新副省长表示，奥地利在成都设领，充分说明奥地利政府对中国西部、对四川的高度重视，是川奥关系、川奥人民友谊发展的升华，相信这必将进一步促进四川与奥地利的友好往来和交流合作。
Mr. Zhu Hexin expressed heartfelt congratulations to the official opening of Austrian Consulate General Chengdu and extended a warm welcome to President Alexander van der Bellen and Chancellor Kurz in his speech. According to Mr. Zhu, the establishment of Austrian Consulate General Chengdu fully suggests that Austrian government attaches great importance to western China and Sichuan, and will further brings Sichuan-Austrian ties and the friendship between Sichuan and Austrian peoples closer. It is believed that this will promote cordial exchanges and cooperation between Sichuan and Austria.
范德贝伦在致辞中感谢四川省政府和有关各界对奥地利驻蓉总领馆开馆提供的帮助和支持。他表示，中国自改革开放以来，取得了前所未有的经济成就。奥地利与四川的关系也日益密切，三只在维也纳出生的大熊猫便是奥川友谊的象征。奥地利驻蓉总领馆开馆将更加方便奥川之间的交流与合作。奥地利政府和奥地利驻蓉总领馆将继续努力推动奥地利与四川和中国西部之间多领域友好合作。
Alexander van der Bellen, in his speech, thanked the help and support provided by the provincial government of Sichuan and all parties concerned for the opening of Austrian Consulate General Chengdu. He said that, China has made unprecedented economic achievements since the reform and opening up. Austria-Sichuan relations are also getting increasingly closer. The three pandas born in Vienna are a symbol of Austria-Sichuan friendship. The opening of the Consulate General will facilitate the exchanges and cooperation between both parties. Austrian government and Austrian Consulate General Chengdu will make consistent efforts to advance partnerships between Austria and Sichuan or even the entire western China.
