1月8日下午，刘欣厅长在厅机关会见了新加坡驻成都新任总领事彭志威先生一行，双方就进一步加强新加坡与四川经贸合作进行了友好交流。
On the afternoon of January 8, Liu Xin (Liu), Director General of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce, met a delegation led by Pang Chee Wee (Pang), the Newly Appointed Consul General of the Consulate General of the Republic of Singapore in Chengdu. The two sides exchanged views on furthering the economic and trade cooperation between Singapore and Sichuan.
刘欣厅长表示，四川高度重视与新加坡的合作，并在川新合作机制下与新方开展了友好交流。 随着四川第二机场加快建设、“中欧班列”扩大运营、优势产业不断发展壮大，双方合作面临着很多机遇。 希望今后进一步加强与新方的沟通和联系，优势互补，共同推动贸易及双向投资的发展，加强双方在自贸区建设方面的务实合作，并就如何打造更有效率的物流通道及未来合作发表了建议。 彭志威总领事表示，双方合作密切，合作基础好，新方在川项目得到了良好发展。 希望双方在过去合作领域的基础上，进一步加强在新领域方面的合作。 他表示将推动新方企业到四川走走，多了解四川有关情况，继续加强双方的交流和合作。
Sichuan attaches great importance to its cooperation with Singapore and has maintained with Singapore friendly exchanges under the Sichuan-Singapore cooperative mechanism, said Liu. In the meantime, more opportunities for cooperation are bound to spring up as the construction of Chengdu’s second airport (Chengdu Tianfu International Airport) gathers pace, more railways of “China-Europe Railway Express” come into service and the competitive industries of both sides grow bigger. Liu expected the two sides to intensify communication and interaction in the future so that trade and two-way investment between the two sides could be boosted by tapping into each other’s comparative advantages and practical cooperation in the construction of free trade zones could be enhanced. Apart from that, Liu also voiced his opinions on how to build a more efficient logistics network and the future cooperation between Sichuan and Singapore. Pang said that the close ties between the two sides have laid a solid foundation for the cooperation of Sichuan and Singapore. And the projects invested by Singaporean companies in Sichuan are all going forward with great momentum. Pang expected the two sides to widen the scope for cooperation in addition to the existing areas. Pang also said that he’ll encourage Singaporean companies to come to Sichuan more often to learn more about Sichuan for the purpose of deepening cooperation between the two sides. |
