Director General Liu Xin Meets with Mr. Gregory Gilligan, Newly-appointed Vice Chairman of AmCham China
2019年4月3日上午，刘欣厅长在商务厅会见了中国美国商会（以下简称美商会）新任董事会副主席葛国瑞先生。 刘欣厅长对美商会和葛国瑞副主席长期以来对四川社会经济发展的关心和支持表示感谢。 刘欣厅长向葛国瑞副主席介绍了新的外商投资法、我省正在开展的营商环境提升年以及今年将要举办的中外知名企业四川行等重大活动，希望美商会组织更多的美资企业来川参加相关活动，共同推动四川与美国在航空、医疗、电子信息等领域及中美半导体产业园的合作。 葛国瑞副主席表示美商会将全力以赴配合四川做好四川投资环境的推介和经贸招商活动的客商邀请等工作。 葛国瑞副主席还介绍了美商会《2019商务环境调查报告》、《2019美国企业在中国白皮书》的主要内容以及希望在中国举办美国职业高尔夫巡回赛总统杯赛的设想和推进情况。 最后，双方表示加强交流合作，共同推动川美经贸合作。
On the morning of April 3, 2019, Director General Liu Xin met with Mr. Gregory Gilligan, the newly-appointed Vice Chairman of the Board of the American Chamber of Commerce in China (AmCham China), at Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce. Director General Liu Xin thanked AmCham China and its Vice Chairman Gregory Gilligan for their long-term care and support for Sichuan’s social and economic development. Then, Director General Liu Xin introduced the new foreign investment law, the ongoing Business Environment Improving Year of the Province and major events to be held this year such as “Well-known Chinese and Foreign Enterprises' Visit to Sichuan” to Vice Chairman Gregory Gilligan, wishing that AmCham China can organize more American enterprises to participate in relevant activities in Sichuan, so as to jointly promote the cooperation between Sichuan and America in aviation, medical, electronic information and other fields as well as the Sino-US Semiconductor Industrial Park. Mr. Gregory Gilligan said that AmCham China will do its best to cooperate with Sichuan on promoting the investment environment in Sichuan and inviting merchants for economic trade and investment promotion activities. He also introduced the main contents of AmCham China’s Business Environment Survey Report 2019 and White Paper 2019 of US Enterprises in China, expressed the idea of holding the USA PGA TOUR Presidents Cup in China, and talked about the progress. Finally, both sides indicated to strengthen exchanges and cooperation to jointly promote the economic and trade cooperation between Sichuan and America.

In May last year, AmCham China and Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce jointly organized the “American Enterprises’ Visit to Sichuan”, which achieved positive results.
