On March 20, the opening ceremony of the 110th China Food &Drinks Fair (CFDF) and Spring CFDF Festival took place at Western China International Expo City.

Covering a record high of 325,000 square meters, this year's CFDF has set up 11 exhibition areas and 14 characteristic zones, with those for dairy products and ice cream, Chinese Baijiu Golden Triangle industrial chain and innovative ingredients for the first time.

The fair has attracted about 30 domestic exhibition delegations from Beijing, Jiangxi, Gansu, Guangxi, Chongqing and other provincial-level regions, as well as 24 international ones from France, Japan, Spain and other countries. It is estimated that the CFDF will welcome more than 6,600 exhibitors with over 300,000 exhibits and 400,000-strong visits. It is worth mentioning that some exhibits from Europe and Southeast Asia arrived in Chengdu by a special train for the 110th CFDF.

A number of key events will be staged successively, such as CFDF Food and Beverage Industry Development Conference, CFDF Global Drinks Merchants Conference, Omni-channel Purchasers Conference, and Promotion Conference for Investment &Cooperation in Sichuan Baijiu Chengdu Production Area. Nearly 50 professional forums in sub-sectors including the 2024 CFDF Jiangxiangxing Baijiu Conference will be organized. In addition, the Organizing Committee will hold almost 50 special livestreaming sessions together with several leading platforms.

According to a member of the Organizing Committee, this year's fair will deeply integrate the upstream and downstream industrial chain of food and drinks, activate its trading function, and realize a win-win ecocycle for exhibitors, purchasers and consumers. It is expected to promote the intended turnover of exhibitors to exceed 100 billion yuan.

The concept of the Spring CFDF Festival was put forward for the first time. The CFDF's Organizing Committee, along with Chengdu Municipal People's Government, will expand exhibition-related activities to the whole city in the form of "exhibition-city integration" by innovatively creating four major sections of "exhibition, conference, city and festival".
