On April 29, the second joint meeting of Chongqing Hi-tech Zone and Chengdu Hi-tech Zone to jointly promote the construction of Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle was held in Chengdu Hi-tech Zone, with the Strategic Cooperation Agreement of Chongqing Hi-tech Zone and Chengdu Hi-tech Zone to Jointly Build a Science and Technology Innovation Center with National Influence signed by the two sides.

　　In an effort to facilitate Chengdu-Chongqing region become a science and technology innovation center with national influence, Chengdu High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Chengdu Hi-tech Zone) and Chongqing High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Chongqing Hi-tech Zone) will play a leading role in innovation poles and accelerate the innovation pattern building of "two poles, one corridor and multiple points." Specifically, the "two poles" are the Western China (Chengdu) Science City supported by Chengdu Hi-tech Zone, and Western China (Chongqing) Science City with Chongqing Hi-tech Zone as the core; the "one corridor" is the Chengdu-Chongqing Science and Technology Innovation Corridor, which covers 12 national high-tech zones in Chengdu-Chongqing region and bears the functions of transforming innovative achievements and industrializing high and new technologies; the "multiple points" refer to a number of innovative functional areas and innovative nodes in Chengdu-Chongqing region.

　　The agreement defines the "six ones" priority tasks, namely co-building "one city": to jointly build the western science city with the mode of "one city and multiple parks"; co-building "one corridor": to strengthen the ability of collaborative innovation and jointly build Chengdu-Chongqing Science and Technology Innovation Corridor; co-building "one highland": to promote cooperation in advantageous industries and jointly build a national demonstration highland for new economy; co-building "one area": to promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and build a leading area for innovation and entrepreneurship in western China; co-building "one port": to strengthen international scientific and technological cooperation and build an inland free trade port; co-building "one mechanism": to actively play the role of the market and build a mechanism for the free flow of factors.

　　Relevant official of the Development and Planning Bureau of Chengdu Hi-tech Zone noted that the two places will aim to build a comprehensive national science center, enhance their original innovation capability and accelerate the formation of a full chain of "basic research-technological innovation-industrial innovation"; join hands with the high-tech zones of Chengdu and Chongqing to create the Chengdu-Chongqing Science and Technology Innovation Corridor, build a collaborative innovation and achievement transformation model of "R&D in Chengdu-Chongqing headquarters and achievement transformation in surrounding areas," and promote the industrialization of innovation achievements in the parks along the Science and Technology Innovation Corridor; promote the sharing of public technology service platforms between the two places and jointly create two world-class industrial clusters of intelligent terminals and great health.
