The total industrial added value of the whole year was RMB1.20849 trillion, up 7.6% over the previous year, and the contribution rate to economic growth was 45.6%. As at the end of the year, there were 13,338 the industrial enterprises above designated size. Throughout the year, the industrial added value above designated size increased by 7.9%.
In the industries above designated size, in terms of the light and heavy industries, the added value of the light industry increased by 9.3% over the previous year, that of the heavy industry increased by 7.3%. The ratio between the light and heavy industries was 1: 2. By the economic type, that of the state-owned and state-holding enterprises increased by 5.6%, the collectively-owned enterprises by 4.3%, the joint-stock enterprises by 9.5%, and the foreign-invested enterprises and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan-invested enterprises by 0.7%.
By the sector, the added value of 36 sectors out of 41 ones in industries above designated size saw increase. Among them, that of the electric power, heat production and supply sector increased by 2.3% over the previous year; that of wine, beverage and refined tea making sector increased by 11.4%; that of non-metallic mineral products sector increased by 20.1%; that of automobile manufacturing sector increased by 10.0%; industrial growth of agricultural and sideline food processing increased by 5.6%; that of chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing sector increased by 11.6%, that of the textile sector increased by 13.2%; that of computers, communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing sector grew by 2.5%; that of oil and natural gas extraction sector increased by 17.7%; that of pharmaceutical manufacturing sector increased by 12.3%.

From the output of major products, the output of raw coal production fell by 14.6% over the previous year, the output of gasoline increased by 11.6%, that of natural gas increased by 5.5%, the electric energy production increased by 0.9%, that of raw iron ore declined by 3.5%, that of finished steel fell by 3.8%, that of cement decreased by 3.3%, that of liquor increased by 6.0%, that of original drug chemicals increased by 17.1%, that of automobiles increased by 9.1%, that of complete electric computer decreased by 16.8%. Throughout the year, the output-sales ratio of industrial enterprises above designated size was 96.7%.
Throughout the year, the industrial enterprises above designated size realized the main business income of RMB3.78763 trillion, up 1.7% over the previous year. The total profit and tax amounted to RMB388.79 billion, down 2.5%. The net profit realized after break even was RMB204.4 billion, down 5.3%. Among them, the state-controlled industrial enterprises realized a net profit of RMB52.98 billion, up 16.5%; the joint-stock enterprises realized a net profit of RMB171.65 billion, an increase of 4.7%; the foreign-invested enterprises and Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan-invested enterprises realized a net profit of RMB23.09 billion, down 53.6%.
In the whole year, the added value of the whole construction industry was RMB232.56 billion, up 9.0% over the previous year. At the end of the year, there were 3,583 general contracting and professional contracting construction enterprises, which realized a total profit and tax of RMB50.43 billion, up 5.9%. Housing construction area was 527.954 million square meters, down 1.1%; housing construction completion area was 206.923 million square meters, an increase of 5.9%, of which residential construction completion area was 157.126 million square meters, an increase of 6.8%.
