On May 18, the conference of the 70th
anniversary of the China Council for the Promotion of International
Trade (CCPIT) and the Global Trade and Investment Promotion Summit was
held in Beijing. CCPIT Sichuan Council attended the conference via the
cloud connection and held the Sichuan Symposium on Promoting
International Trade. Li Yunze, Member of the Standing Committee of the
CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Vice Governor of Sichuan Province
attended Sichuan parallel sessions.
In recent years, Sichuan has deepened
its economic and trade exchanges with other countries around the world,
making remarkable achievements in global trade and investment promotion
and economic and technological cooperation with foreign countries. It
has an ever-growing "circle of friends". So far, Sichuan has approved 21
foreign consulates in Sichuan and formed friendships with 114 foreign
cities and friendly cooperation relationships with 304 foreign cities,
ranking first in central and west China and among the top in the
country.
With Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle
construction becoming part of the national strategy and the Regional
Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) coming into effect, Sichuan's
investment and development potential attracts great attention at home
and abroad.
As an important member of CCPIT and the
world's trade promotion system, CCPIT Sichuan Council has played an
important role in deepening Sichuan's opening up and cooperation with
foreign countries and forming a new trend of full-scale opening up. In
Sichuan parallel sessions, CCPIT Sichuan Council released the Sichuan
Action Plan in response to the Beijing Initiative of Global Trade and
Investment Promotion Summit, declaring that Sichuan will practice the
concept of opening up and cooperation, promote innovative and green
development, create a top-grade business environment, deepen
international exchanges and cooperation, build more open platforms, and
strengthen Sichuan's global trade and investment promotion through
exchanges and cooperation with trade promotion agencies around the
world, and enhance Sichuan's high-level opening up.
Lee KwangHo (Consul General of the ROK
in Chengdu),Thippawan Supamitkitja (Consul General of Royal Thai
Consulate-General in Chengdu), Massimo Bagnasco (European Chamber VP and
Southwest China Chapter Chair) and Nur Azni Aziz (Trade Commissioner of
Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation Chengdu Representative
Office) attended the Sichuan parallel sessions. Lee KwangHo and Massimo
Bagnasco made their remarks in the sessions. |
