In the first four months of this year,
the foreign trade between Sichuan and RCEP countries (regions) recorded
104.27 billion yuan, up 27% compared with the same period of last year,
according to Chengdu Customs District P.R.CHINA.
Lier Chemical Co., Ltd. mainly exports
products to Japan and Australia. Thanks to the implementation of RCEP
policies, its export volume to Japan is expected to grow by about 25%,
and its total export value is expected to hit 200 million yuan under the
framework of RCEP this year.
Yibin Tianyi Lithium Industry Co., Ltd.,
an upstream supplier of raw materials in the new energy industry, also
jumped at the trade opportunities. "Last year, we only exported less
than 14 million yuan worth of raw materials for lithium batteries. But
this year, as the new energy industry grows by leaps and bounds, there
has been a strong demand for high-end raw materials for lithium
batteries. Especially after the implementation of RCEP, the tax we pay
when we export battery-grade lithium hydroxide to South Korea can be cut
by nearly 40%." According to a manager of Yibin Tianyi Lithium Industry
Co., Ltd., the company will expand the RCEP market at a faster pace and
contribute to the sound development of the industry by relying on the
competitive advantages provided by our country. This year, the company
plans to export one billion yuan worth of raw materials for lithium
batteries to the international market.
On May 27, Chengdu Customs District
P.R.CHINA, Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and Chengdu Municipal
Port and Logistics Office issued the Chengdu List of Trade Opportunities for Key Commodities with RCEP Member Markets.
Enterprises can check the commodity categories of key commodities, key
industries, and key countries and the list of zero tariff commodities
under the framework of RCEP on the websites of Chengdu Customs District
P.R.CHINA and Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Commerce to obtain trade
opportunities brought by RCEP. "The list of trade opportunities provides
a valuable point of reference for us to gain a correct understanding of
RCEP rules and seize the opportunities brought by the favorable
policies. To put it more simply, it is like sending benefit information
directly to enterprises like us," said Zhang Xiang, Deputy General
Manager of Yibin Tianyi Lithium Industry Co., Ltd. who was browsing the
list on the website of Chengdu Customs District P.R.CHINA.
Notably, Chengdu Customs District
P.R.CHINA has put forward to implement favorable tax policies for
enterprises in the13 measures to promote foreign trade and ensure
development stability and quality. Other measures include: guiding
enterprises to take advantage of favorable national tax policies in a
full, right, and good way; working closely with relevant departments on
the training and publicity of policies; guiding enterprises to make good
use of the rules in the RCEP agreement such as reducing tariffs for
trade among member countries, RCEP cumulative rules of origin, and
approved exporters. Thus, enterprises exporting commodities to RCEP
member countries can enjoy tariff relief and other benefits. |
